Axe Product Specialist
At Grand Forest we love Axes! We are looking for a Product Specialist who will share this passion with our customers. Someone who is enthusiastic about outdoor life, appreciates high-quality hand tools, and is an excellent team player would be a great fit. As a product specialist, this employee will share an in-depth knowledge of the heritage tools we represent, with passion! This is achieved by understanding the complexities of the outdoor market and its customers. This employee will be primarily focused on our Axe line while fully supporting our other outdoor products. The job is based out of our Summerville, SC facility.

Key Responsibilities
- Brand Awareness and Building
- Communicate with our customers about our products, both retail and dealers
- Successfully maintain current B2B accounts
- Research and facilitate the onboarding of new reseller accounts throughout the US
- Periodically attend trade-specific shows to highlight the product and acquire new accounts
- Customer Service
- Accurately process sales orders into company-specific ERP system
- Inform, educate, and communicate with customers via online portal and phone inquiries
- Process returns and warranties
- Maintain inventory with accurate counting and storage
- Tool maintenance, repair, and preservation
- Service customers and internal products with sharpening and rehandling of Axes
- Teach correct techniques of sharpening and rehandling
- Repair products as needed

Finance Manager
Are you looking for an excellent opportunity in Finance in a dynamic environment? Grand Forest is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to oversee all financial matters for the organization, including related party finances and contracts. If you are a self-motivated professional with a strong financial background and a cooperative nature, we want you on our team! The ideal candidate is someone who has the ability to hit the ground running, or who is very motivated to learn. The Finance Manager is responsible for the creation, review and interpretation of financial reports, banking relationships, insurance relationships, monitoring of cash flow and creation of a comprehensive budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Grand Forest is meeting financial goals including income, reserves, and AR
- AP review and maintenance
- Foreign trade transactions and oversight
- Complete, review and interpret P&L, balance sheets and other accounting reports on a monthly and year-end basis against the prior year, forecast, and budget targets
- Collaborate with Sales, Production, Distribution and CEO to develop and implement financial policies and procedures that support the Company’s goals and improve efficiency for profit optimization
- Prepare regular forecasts and annual budgets
- Track, review, and reconcile inventory with ERP and financial software
- Generate and track all production and operating metrics to provide insights on performance
- Manage Insurance needs, contracts, and relationships
- Fixed asset management
- Maintain accurate sales tax documents and filings
- Prepare year end documentation i.e. 1099,1096
- Participate in weekly meetings to report on finances and insurance
- Document and analyze financials for year-end audit process
- Develop and promote a culture of continuous process improvement and automation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance/Accounting or a related field
- 5 – 7 years of relevant experience
- Detail-oriented and analytical
- CPA preferred
- Manufacturing and ERP experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and internal controls is required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting
- Ability to evaluate, analyze and prioritize data in various forms and formats
- Self-Starter with ability to work independently and as a team
- High level of flexibility regarding hours worked during month end and busy periods as required by the business
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP and QuickBooks preferred
Garment Specialist
Grand Forest is seeking sewing machine operators for full time positions. Our Garment Specialists take pride in manufacturing safety apparel in our Summerville facility. While industrial sewing experience is beneficial, training is offered for motivated individuals with limited to no previous sewing experience. Various positions available including sewing, inspection, commercial embroidery, and industrial machine operator.
